Tree Planting Day Activity
March 12th is Tree Planting Day in our country. This is a festival established for the purpose of stimulating people's enthusiasm for afforestation and reforestation, promoting the greening of our country and protecting the ecological environment. In order to enhance students' environmental awareness and implement the concept of green development, the Junior High School Division of the east campus held an Arbor Day activity.
First and foremost, under the guidance of the teachers, students arrived at the school botanical garden in an orderly manner. Evidently, everyone had clear responsibilities, working in perfect harmony with each other. For instance, students holding a spade were vigorously digging the holes by shoveling the soil, who didn't care at all even if the soil splashed onto their shoes. After the tree holes were dug, students meticulously placed the saplings into the holes they had dug, straightening them out and aligning them properly, during which they were cautious and focused. Finally, they watered the newly planted saplings with the water that symbolizes life. More remarkably, students worked in perfect harmony and solemnly hung the class nameplates on the young trees to claim them.
Moreover, the newly planted saplings were swaying in the spring breeze. Meanwhile, it’s believed that the implementation of this Tree Planting Day activity enabled students to experience the pleasure of planting trees firsthand, and enhanced their awareness of environmental protection and sense of responsibility, which has not only cultivated the teamwork spirit and practical ability of the students, but also enabled students to realize the hardships and joys of labor.
To conclude, our school will continue to uphold the concept of green development and carry out various forms of environmental protection education activities. Additionally, while adding lush greenery to the campus, we shall sow the seeds of greenery in the hearts of every teacher and student so that they can take root and sprout!
